Why Should we start ballet4babies?

Active Babies = Happy Babies

Ballet has the power to boost cognitive development, encourage creativity, and improve your child’s mood. But one of the most important benefits is the parent-child bonding time. Remember that it’s never too early to introduce your child to the art of Ballet so make the best of it and have fun @ballet4babies classes.

6-10 MONTHS
Alternate foot kicking starts. Also, they will bounce and move their cores (core of body) forward and backward to the beat- In a belly-dancing style of movement.

10-14 MONTHS
Children engage their upper bodies in dance before full-body dancing starts, usually flapping their hands to the beat.

14 MONTHS
When toddlers are solidly walking (with straighter legs), they will start bending their knees as they bob up and down, with clear recognition of the beat in the music.

What we do in class at this age obviously is not STRICTLY Ballet. HOWEVER, everything we do does have a (ballet) reason behind it that later develops into a balletic movement.

There are many different baby classes around that use similar music and props etc but the reason for doing things is not always the same. Let’s face it there is only so much you can do with a 6-month-old.

What makes ballet4babies different to some is the repetition, which children love, and structure of the class.  They are learning lifelong skills form an early age. It’s never too early to learn to wait for your turn or to put things away!

Little ones who progress on to the next levels at ballet4babies thrive and gain confidence quicker than most who maybe start at an older level.

With this in mind we hope you enjoy a long journey with ballet4babies.
